Kongsberg Discovery Canada Ltd’s Vancouver operation is physically in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. It is a Canadian company in the KONGSBERG group, separately listed from Kongsberg Geospatial. Its local-addressed technical material covers M3 Sonar HF, Flexview HF and BerthWatch for underwater inspection, mapping and monitoring. An advertised Port Coquitlam engineering role describes sonar electronics development, integration, prototype testing and production support; it does not allocate particular HISAS work to that team. HISAS2020 is the group technology examined here. Kongsberg Discovery launched it as a standalone synthetic aperture sonar on February 26, 2026, widening access beyond its earlier HUGIN AUV integration. Its product datasheet identifies Kongsberg Discovery AS in Horten, Norway as the accountable supplier. That distinction matters for a Canadian platform: a Canadian office and a global product catalogue do not establish local product ownership, manufacturing or contracting authority. The technology combines high-resolution acoustic imaging and co-registered bathymetry. The useful question is how that performance is achieved on a named vehicle, at its survey speed and range, with a suitable navigation solution and processing path. The vendor’s current premium specification and its reported HUGIN Edge sea-trial result describe different levels of evidence; historical HISAS research helps explain the integration constraints but does not certify the new standalone configuration.

Sherbrooke quantum-technology company developing superconducting microwave devices, low-noise cryogenic components, and entangled-microwave approaches for sensing and communications.

Prosaris Solutions is a Nova Scotia industrial-sensing company developing handheld ultrasonic sensors and software for detecting, recording and managing compressed-air, gas, vacuum, electrical and mechanical anomalies.

Deep Vision develops passive machine-perception software for maritime observation, autonomous navigation awareness and environmental monitoring. It uses electro-optical inputs and edge processing to detect and track objects, with AMPS as its maritime situational-awareness module and AHAB for marine-mammal monitoring.

British Columbia not-for-profit institute operating as a strategic funding partner for quantum research translation, commercialization and ecosystem development.

Launch Academy is a Vancouver technology incubator and accelerator that helps Canadian and international founders build and scale startups through education, mentorship, market-entry programs, startup-community access and investor preparation.

Communitech is a Waterloo Region technology ecosystem organization and one of Canada's two NATO DIANA accelerator sites, supporting technology companies from startup formation through scale-up and dual-use defence innovation.

Carcajou Tactical is the Gatineau-based tactical-equipment brand of Confections Carcajou Ltée, a family company founded in 2006. It designs and manufactures load-bearing belts, pouches, plate-carrier components and wearable equipment accessories, and offers custom development and contract sewing. Its own Canadian-made lines sit alongside imported materials and third-party retail products. The company describes an integrated shop covering pattern design, prototyping, automated and laser cutting, industrial sewing, assembly and inspection. Its MOLLE/PALS products connect pouches, belts and harnesses into configurable carrying systems; NEXUS plate bags carry compatible plates, while the NVG Skull Harness supports separate night-vision equipment. These are textile and mounting products, with product-specific fit and origin. Customers can buy through the catalogue or request unit, agency and bulk quotations. Repayable public financing supports production investment, while a historical DND clothing award establishes a buyer relationship without identifying a current tactical-kit order or delivery outcome.

Quebec mineral-processing technology company developing circular reagent-regeneration and hydrometallurgical flowsheets for recovering critical minerals from ores and legacy mine residues.

Toronto aerial-robotics company developing industrial inspection drones designed for contact-based inspection work.

Square Peg Communications is a Kanata, Ontario RF engineering company providing base-station test equipment, OEM radio subsystems and non-terrestrial-network test capabilities. Federal grants and a named VIAVI partnership support a current Canadian operation, while flight heritage and delivered space-mission outcomes remain unknown.
