Collaborative applied research in composite manufacturing, nondestructive inspection, machining, metrology and industrial robotization, with AI supporting process analysis and automation. CTA combines material characterization, prototypes, inspection methods and equipment integration under project-specific validation plans.
Evidence includes delivered composite porosity standards, P&WC QIF inspection-software assessment and DCM/Nétur machining-analysis tools. A joint CTA/L3Harris paper reports robotic phased-array inspection trials on aircraft control surfaces and deployment then underway at L3Harris; its automated diagnostic method still required technician interpretation. These outputs do not establish a general production qualification or an autonomous inspection product.
