CTA develops and integrates aircraft instrumentation, avionics and structural-monitoring systems, supported by ground tests, flight-test campaigns and aircraft modification work. This is a distinct aircraft-system validation service alongside its propulsion cell and manufacturing-process research.
CTA reports Cessna 172 modifications and experimental flight permits for ÉTS LASSENA, and a modernized Piper Chieftain research aircraft. Joint CTA/Bombardier research demonstrates fibre-optic wing-deformation measurement in ground certification tests; further in-flight validation and the Piper’s remote-operation conversion remain development activities. Aircraft maintenance and modification rely on the applicable project approvals and ÉNA’s published AMO 25-23 ratings.

Use & integration
Recorded applications
Research flight-test instrumentation and aircraft-system validation
Experimental aircraft modification campaigns
Structural-monitoring method development and ground/flight correlation
These describe the reviewed application scope, not confirmed deployments, released requirements or procurement eligibility.
Evidence of maturity
CTA reports a Cessna flight-test campaign since 2024 and completed Piper instrumentation modifications. The Global 7500 paper documents ground-test results, not operational in-flight monitoring. Remote operation remains in development.
Commercial availability
Scoped research/integration projects through CTA; confirm aircraft configuration, permits, the applicable ÉNA maintenance ratings and campaign availability.
