About COVE
COVE helps marine and dual-use technology companies test equipment, develop commercial pathways and connect with partners from its Dartmouth waterfront base. Stella Maris offers subsea and dockside testing, shoreside working facilities and a data portal. COVE is also a NATO DIANA accelerator site serving selected innovators. Its current service index labels incubation as coming soon, so the historical Start-Up Yard listing is not an established current intake route.
Operating context
Stella Maris supports short-term dockside trials and longer subsea deployments with shoreside operations and remote data access. A test enquiry asks for the technology, objectives, interfacing/deployment requirements, duration and preferred dates; funding may be available for eligible Canadian start-ups and SMEs. DIANA is a separate competitively selected accelerator pathway. In the Sea Tracker collaboration, Ultra Maritime supplies the modular sonar solution to DRDC for experimentation, while COVE and ACOA support the initiative.
