Why this organization matters now
Dated Aug 18, 2026
On 18 August 2026, OTI announced work with Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology benchmarking iQCC across 14 OLED emitter materials. The company reports emulating more than 200 qubits with 32 CPU processes and approximately 800 GB of RAM, and identifies the associated Journal of the American Chemical Society paper. This is a conventional-computing implementation of quantum algorithms. Separately, the Display Week 2026 program listed Zhibin Wang for a May presentation on low-index hole-transport layers for OLEDs, indicating another materials research direction without establishing a released product.

OLED materials and manufacturing process
CPM cathode patterning and transparent OLED materials
What it enables
CPM is OTI's material-enabled process for controlling thin-film growth through self-assembly. Patterning the top OLED electrode creates transparent openings between pixels for near-infrared sensors and cameras and can improve transparent-display construction. OTI reports validation on customers' production lines; DNP has collaborated on compatible evaporation masks and cleaning processes. Defence relevance is an integration hypothesis for displays and sensor modules, subject to configuration-specific testing.

Prepare the conversation
Questions for a first conversation
Which display stack and environmental test results would justify evaluating CPM in a military display or sensor module?
OTI reports mass-production qualification and transparent-display demonstrations. An integrator still needs configuration-specific optical transmission, durability, temperature and sensor-performance evidence before selecting a defence evaluation.
Can a Canadian materials team obtain iQCC access and reproduce a relevant benchmark on its available hardware?
The reported OLED benchmark uses about 800 GB RAM, while the GPU preprint studies different catalyst systems. Access terms, reproducibility, workload-specific accuracy and compute cost should drive the first technical discussion.
Which qualified material grades, production partners and delivery terms are available for an integration project today?
The 2022 financing release reports customer qualification and OTI describes partner-led production supply. Current volumes, named device design wins and a defence-specific delivery configuration were not established by the inspected public records.
