About Dartmouth Ocean Technologies
Dartmouth Ocean Technologies is a Dartmouth, Nova Scotia ocean-technology company developing eDNA samplers, lab-on-chip sensors and underwater environmental-monitoring systems.
Operating context
Dartmouth Ocean Technologies supplies sample-collection and nutrient-sensing instruments for environmental monitoring. DOT-NM automates eDNA sampling and preservation with removable filter cassettes; molecular extraction and sequencing are subsequently performed by NatureMetrics. Its depth options span 20, 200 and 3,000 metres, with different configuration requirements. The separate Rapid Sampler prioritizes flow and simultaneous channels at a 20 metre depth rating, but its datasheet still labels development and early-stage trials. Fugro’s Portchester trial supports a real customer evaluation of DOT-NM and integration with survey platforms, not blanket validation of every depth or sampler variant.
