About Velocity Bolting
Velocity Bolting develops fastening technology for industrial disassembly and maintenance. Its Velocity Washer releases clamp load before the nut is removed, aiming to prevent seized threads and reduce destructive fastener removal on critical joints.
Operating context
The integration question is the complete bolted joint. The manufacturer presents the washer as a replacement for a standard hardened washer, but its height, load-relief travel, material and temperature selection remain configuration-specific engineering inputs. INTEGRA's operation guide makes the integration constraints explicit: the washer permanently deforms on release and is not reusable; only one is fitted per bolt, on the wrench side for both tightening and breakout. The flange interface must be free of lubricant, and a flat washer must not be stacked beside it. The guide excludes left-hand threads and flags unusually long or short bolts for application review.
