About SkyWatch Space Applications
SkyWatch Space Applications is a Waterloo-based geospatial platform company that aggregates commercial satellite, aerial and drone imagery, including hyperspectral data, into searchable purchasing, tasking and data-management workflows.
Operating context
SkyWatch Connect distributes satellite, aerial and drone imagery through a commercial platform that handles buyer compliance, billing and fulfilment. The company reports more than 7,500 buying organizations and supports providers across optical, radar and other data types. Its current access story includes high-resolution aerial imagery and standardized drone imagery alongside satellite data. The value for a buyer is a common procurement and delivery layer; resolution, licence rights, tasking feasibility and collection latency still depend on the underlying provider and product.
