Operating context
Saltworks now identifies HydraOS as the common digital-control layer for its own water-treatment and lithium-processing plants. Announced in September 2026, it combines process controls with operator simulation, an offline digital twin, an AI assistant for plant documentation and ion-specific sensing; the degree of autonomous control is selected for each customer. The company says it is incorporated into Project Aurora. EMP’s latest inspected construction update advances that demonstration beyond the dossier’s earlier mechanical-completion stage: construction was complete in August, live brine was flowing through systems and commissioning was about halfway finished. Its 10m³/day design remains demonstration scale. Separately, Saltworks reports another semiconductor water-reclamation award using selective removal, high-recovery reverse osmosis and crystallization. The customer and price remain undisclosed, so this commercial water-treatment evidence should not be used as proof of completed lithium demonstration performance.
