About Ping DSP
Ping DSP is a British Columbia sonar developer whose 3DSS family combines underwater imagery and bathymetric mapping for hydrographic work and uncrewed platforms. It supplies compact sensor packages rather than complete autonomous vessels.
Systems and integration
3DSS-DX-450 compact dual-transducer sonar, iDX-450 survey package with integrated peripherals and configurable DX-450-AUV package.
Operating context
The 3DSS-DX-450-AUV package is intended for integration into uncrewed underwater and surface vehicles. Ping documents February 2016 DRDC mine-countermeasure testing on a USV2600, establishing a specific historical evaluation; it does not establish a current mine-clearance system purchase.
