About Nüvü Caméras
Nüvü Caméras is a Montréal photonics company developing ultra-low-light EMCCD and photon-counting camera systems for scientific, space and defence-oriented imaging.
Operating context
Nüvü's space-imaging work spans configurable nuSpace cameras and a specifically documented contribution to Roman coronagraph readout electronics. The nuSpace offer combines low-light detector options, compact packaging and configuration-dependent environmental and radiation testing. NASA/JPL's subsystem material assigns ABB/Nüvü the proximity electronics, separating that contribution from ESA's detectors and JPL's housing. ABB identifies the jointly developed electronics aboard Roman, and NASA/JPL independently confirms the August 30, 2026 launch and subsequent transit toward L2. NASA's September 15 update describes initial instrument checks with calibration continuing. This supports a named flight-programme connection, not completed commissioning or transfer of mission-specific qualification to every catalogue camera.
