Navamar provides custom marine construction and repair from Montreal, supported by a covered workshop and mobile service. Its Joint Support Ship sea-to-shore connector uses modular pontoons and containerized equipment to transfer personnel, vehicles and supplies where a conventional port is unavailable. The published 50-tonne payload and five-knot speed relate to sheltered-water operation and the selected assembled configuration. DND now records delivery of the final connector on March 21, 2024, with systems stored on both coasts. This supersedes the dossier’s earlier first-delivery-only evidence posture. Delivery of these connectors is distinct from the ships themselves: the same DND page schedules the first Joint Support Ship for 2027 and the second for 2027/2028.
