About Kepler Communications
Toronto satellite communications company developing high-speed data-relay services and space-network infrastructure.
Operating context
Kepler's first optical data-relay tranche entered commercial service after commissioning in August 2026. Its IP-based optical mesh supports data movement and distributed computing for space missions. The hosted-payload sheet specifies accommodation up to 120 kg, at least 400 W orbit-average power subject to orbit conditions, 8 TB storage and a 2.2 Gbps relay configuration; mission power, thermal and pointing feasibility still need assessment. Tranche 2 is a different, planned 400 kg-class spacecraft generation with up to 100 Gbps links, more onboard computing and hosted payload capability. Capacity for ten such satellites is booked for a targeted mid-2028 launch.
