Operating context
Integran's Nanovate family serves different material functions that should be kept distinct. Nanovate CR is a cobalt-phosphorus electrodeposit offered as a hard-chrome alternative for wear and corrosion applications, while Nanovate EM addresses magnetic shielding. The broader business includes electroformed components and metal/polymer structural hybrids, delivered through development, prototyping, small-volume production and licensing. Historical Canadian support for Nanovate NV concerned coating composite tooling for aircraft manufacture; it does not demonstrate flight-hardware qualification. Supplier selection therefore depends on the selected alloy, substrate and process qualification rather than on the Nanovate brand alone.
