About IMP Aerospace & Defence
IMP Aerospace & Defence is a Canadian vertically integrated aerospace and defence group providing aircraft fleet management, in-service support, maintenance and overhaul, missionization, engineering, electronics, aerostructures, naval and land services, and component manufacturing.
Operating context
IMP's integrated support and manufacturing portfolio has a defined supplier-entry route. Vendor Connect shares company profiles across its operating units, with follow-up conditional on a matching business need; aviation parts and related services also require Approved Vendor List registration and the applicable questionnaire or supplier manual. This helps distinguish initial market access from qualification and awarded work. For Cormorant, National Defence now separates the June 2026 first flight from planned first delivery and initial operational capability in 2027, final delivery in 2029 and full capability in 2030. Halifax production is documented, but a flight milestone should not be represented as fleet acceptance. A July 2026 Maawandoon release describes Indigenous-participation planning for the support programme, rather than achievement of the target.
