CMC offers silicon and InGaAs optical detectors, APD receivers with preamplifiers, quadrant PIN modules and custom microelectronic hybrids. Customers select active area, fibre or free-space packaging, bandwidth, cooling and screening for their sensing or communications design. These are integration components rather than complete LiDAR or imaging systems.
The 276-339767 pigtailed APD family has 80 µm multimode and 30 µm single-mode variants. Its July 2026 table gives typical bandwidths of 5.8 and 6.5 GHz at 25°C and gain M=10, and recommends operating gain 10–100 despite broader introductory wording. The separate 276-339832 preamplifier module uses a 50 µm multimode fibre and 16-pin butterfly package; typical 120 MHz bandwidth, 2.0 MV/W responsivity and 40 fW/√Hz NEP apply at its stated test conditions. The 264-339837 is a four-channel, 1 mm quadrant PIN receiver with typical 2 MHz bandwidth.
CMC’s technical validation paper documents selected environmental tests but leaves random vibration and higher acceleration work planned; its part prefixes also vary. Individual production screening and current qualification therefore need confirmation against the ordered revision. The posted DLA Class H certificate concerns an approved hybrid-microcircuit process and does not establish qualification of every COTS detector.
