C8000 is Cadex’s four-channel programmable battery test system for laboratory characterization, life cycling and reproducing device loads. BatteryLab manages connected units and profiles; the channel current, voltage and power ceilings must be considered together. External load-bank and dual-port options expand particular discharge configurations without making every channel a 20 A or 2,400 W output.
Technical detail
Core features
Four channels; 1.2–36 V nominal/45 V maximum; programmable 30 mA–10 A in 1 mA steps.
Charge power is 100 W per channel/400 W total; discharge power is 80 W per channel/320 W total.
Dual-port discharge permits 20 A/160 W. An external load-bank option is rated up to 2,400 W at 48 V.
Voltage accuracy is ±0.1% of full scale; current accuracy is ±0.25% of full scale.
Functions include life cycling, runtime/load profiles, load capture, SMBus and 1,000 Hz impedance measurement on channel 1.
BatteryLab supports one to eight C8000 units, up to 32 batteries, using RS-232 or Ethernet. Cadex specifies annual factory calibration.
The datasheet uses microsecond and millisecond units for similarly labelled timing specifications on different pages; the required timing performance should be confirmed for the intended mode.
