ventureLAB offers hardware commercialization support through its Hardware Catalyst Initiative and prototyping facilities in Markham. HCI provides eligible companies up to twenty-four months of support without fees or equity, but its current cohort applications are closed. The page describes a separate subscription route to the prototype and testing lab, which should be assessed independently of cohort admission. A July 2026 equipment feature identifies a high-power DC electronic load useful for evaluating power supplies and converters; its voltage, current and power limits require an agreed test configuration. ventureLAB also held a defence supplier-readiness event addressing procurement, compliance and security. That engagement supports a route into the conversation, not certification or eligibility for a defence contract.
