Operating context
SCALE AI supports applied artificial intelligence through industry projects, workforce development and an accelerator network. Its industry-project funding intake is currently paused until further notice, so a proposal should begin with a status enquiry rather than an assumed open application. A documented industrial example is SFPPN's iron-ore shipping terminal project, combining predictive maintenance, simulation and decision intelligence for rail and ship-loading operations; the listed $1.2 million SCALE AI contribution forms part of $3.1 million in total project investment. That project establishes the type of operational problem supported, while its intended improvements remain objectives. SCALE AI's September 2026 accelerator report describes more than 450 supported startups; that separate network is not evidence that the paused industry-project intake has reopened.
