About indie Photonics Canada
indie Photonics Canada is the Quebec City photonics operation formerly known as TeraXion. It develops optical components for system manufacturers rather than complete sensing or operational platforms. Parent-company filings identify Canadian assembly and testing of fiber Bragg grating products and semiconductor-laser products, preserving a specific Canadian industrial role within indie’s wider international business.
Operating context
The former TeraXion portfolio is now presented under indie photonics. Its LXM launch targets coherent optical sensing, distributed acoustic sensing, wind sensing, optical-network monitoring and quantum communications. Product selection therefore starts with the optical subsystem and integration requirements, not an assumption that a finished Canadian sensor platform is supplied.
