About District 3
District 3 is a Montreal innovation hub and accelerator associated with Concordia University that supports high-technology, health, biotechnology and social-impact ventures from validation through launch, growth and fundraising readiness.
Operating context
District 3 is Concordia University’s Montréal startup incubator, supporting biotech, healthcare, high technology and social innovation without taking equity or intellectual property. Its services span validation, launch and growth coaching, mentor connections and prototyping support. A concrete research-commercialization route is Lab2Market Launch: the published fall 2026 programme runs for four months and offers mentorship, workshops and a $10, 000 stipend for eligible graduate researchers, postdoctoral researchers and recent graduates who have already completed substantial customer validation. That cohort began September 3 after an April 12 application deadline; future participation requires the current programme intake.
