About Crypto4A
Crypto4A develops hardware-backed cryptographic key management and post-quantum security technology in Ottawa. Its QASM module underpins hardware security products used to protect cryptographic keys and sensitive applications.
Operating context
The relevant qualification boundary is the cryptographic module and its operating configuration. NIST certificate 5497 validates QASM at FIPS 140-3 overall Level 3 and lists conventional and post-quantum algorithms, including ML-KEM, ML-DSA and SLH-DSA implementations. The associated security policy identifies QASM 1.1 with firmware 5.0.1.158 in FIPS mode; a different version or STANDARD mode is outside that validated configuration. Buyers integrating Crypto4A into a PKI or key-management architecture therefore need to align the appliance, firmware, enabled services and initialization procedure with the certificate rather than rely on a product-family certification claim.
