CRIAQ supports collaborative aerospace R&D, with program selection tied to technical maturity and the relevant call. Its September 2026 announcement adds a specific defence pathway: qualification in stream 5, Innovation and Experimentation, of the Defence Drone Initiative marketplace. That status makes CRIAQ eligible for future solicitations within the stream; it is not an awarded contract and does not automatically qualify member companies. Exploration-Innovation addresses precompetitive research, while other calls support maturation and commercialization. The current INNOV-R PME notice lists a November 2, 2026 full-proposal deadline after a September 22 letter-of-intent deadline, with support capped at $450,000 and 50% of eligible costs. Prospective partners should check admissibility and consortium requirements before treating the later date as an open entry point.
