About Creative Destruction Lab
Creative Destruction Lab is a nonprofit science and technology venture program founded at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, with Toronto streams spanning defence, artificial intelligence, quantum and space technologies.
Operating context
Creative Destruction Lab runs a nonprofit objective-setting programme for science-based ventures, without participation fees or an equity charge. Its Defence stream works with the Canadian Armed Forces, BDC, Osler and sites in Canada and Europe to connect founders with operators, investors and procurement expertise. The stream emphasizes technologies around TRL 4–7 with a demonstrated defence use case, while considering other maturity levels. The published 2026–27 schedule has sessions in Estonia, Germany and Canada. Its programme-specific June 15, 2026 application deadline has passed, despite a generic open-applications footer.
