Operating context
UNB's Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity combines experimental security research with structured industry partnerships. Its IoT laboratory supports security and privacy work on consumer devices and industrial scenarios such as smart grids. The Cyber Attribution Data Centre adds research infrastructure for dark-web analysis, malware reverse engineering and cyber-threat intelligence, with progress reported in May 2026.
