The Canadian Council for Indigenous Business helps connect Indigenous suppliers with corporate and government buyers through Supply Change, its directory and related programs. Its Certified Indigenous Business designation requires at least 51% Indigenous ownership and control with supporting documentation; PAIR separately assesses an organization's performance in Indigenous relations. These designations serve different purposes. CCIB's defence accelerator pairs businesses with General Dynamics sponsors for regulatory learning and supply-chain connections, but the inspected application page describes a closed 2024 intake and a program ending in May 2025. The August 2026 Pathways Forward report adds current analysis of procurement barriers. A supplier should verify its appropriate designation and the next available engagement route rather than assume the historical accelerator is accepting applicants.
