About Canada's Ocean Supercluster
Canada's Ocean Supercluster is an industry-led national innovation cluster linking ocean industries, research organizations and governments across fisheries, offshore energy, defence, marine transportation and ocean technology.
Operating context
Canada’s Ocean Supercluster supports collaborative ocean-technology commercialization and ecosystem development. Its core Technology Leadership route accepts consortium proposals continuously, with projects of at least $1 million and co-investment of up to 40% of eligible costs; the published completion boundary is October 2027. Its Innovation Ecosystem route addresses noncommercial skills, networks and enabling activities and can support up to 75% of eligible costs. The routes have different purposes and cost rules, so prospective applicants should develop a consortium and confirm the applicable guidance before budgeting.
