About C-CORE
Make better operating decisions where ice, ocean, terrain, and remoteness raise the stakes. C-CORE applies research and engineering to sensing, geotechnical, ocean, and ice challenges from Newfoundland and Labrador.
Operating context
C-CORE combines ocean and ice engineering, geotechnical research and remote sensing with satellite-system development. Its work spans Arctic operating conditions, radar and optical sensing, geospatial analysis and satellite ground support. The St. John’s organization also maintains an Ottawa office. GHGSat’s February 2022 announcement provides a concrete service example: continued uplink and downlink support from C-CORE ground stations in Inuvik and Happy Valley–Goose Bay. That historical customer relationship is distinct from C-CORE’s newer satellite-development work.
