Operating context
The Alliance of Canadian Defence Companies represents Canadian-controlled firms seeking a larger role in defence production and procurement. Its membership application tests more than incorporation: it asks about Canadian board control and who sets profit-and-loss and product-roadmap decisions. The public scope covers platform integrators, manufacturers, software, autonomy, sensors and sustainment providers. ACDC launched publicly in February 2026, and co-chair Paul Ziade described its cross-sector network in May parliamentary testimony. Membership offers an advocacy and industry-connection route; it does not confer a security clearance, approved-supplier status or a contract. A prospective member should explain its ownership and decision control, specific offering and intended contribution to the alliance.
