How it works
UnetStack implements a programmable agent-based stack rather than stopping at a modem byte pipe. Its handbook documents multi-hop forwarding, static routes and route discovery, medium-access reservation, reliable end-to-end transport and external APIs. Protocols can be exercised in simulation before deployment; commercial feature and licence selection remains consequential.
Technical detail
Core features
- Static multi-hop routes and automated route discovery are documented, including asymmetric-link examples.
- The MAC service arbitrates shared-medium channel reservations; implementations include CSMA and two-node DTDMA.
- UnetSocket and fjage Gateway APIs support JSON over TCP, websocket or serial; portals bridge UDP/TCP/serial payloads.
