Laser blade-tip restoration

Liburdi researchers with McGill and University of Toronto studied laser deposition of a Rene 142–MERL 72 superalloy blend using the Liburdi LAWS1000 system. The 2021 paper reports practising squealer-tip, tip-cap and full-tip repair at Liburdi and compares deposited material with conventional repair alloys.
