How it works
Allen-Vanguard’s electronic-countermeasure portfolio uses radio-frequency inhibition to address radio-controlled explosive devices and uncrewed-aircraft threats. The published products divide the task by installation and operator need rather than providing one interchangeable system.
EQUINOX NG is the vehicle-oriented configuration. A shared processing unit connects to interchangeable radioheads, with vehicle antennas, power-management choices, a remote control unit and installation/test equipment. The 3XXX family is separately programmable and internally modular: the company describes combining a 3140 with a 3230 or 3330, using vehicle or fixed-site arrangements. Public material does not establish a common band, output-power or coverage specification across these configurations.
SCORPION addresses the man-portable role. Its core system, control panel and power amplifiers can be carried with different antenna, battery and charger arrangements. Backpacks, an EOD frame, a vehicle cradle and other carriage options accommodate different work settings. The company’s November 2023 announcement of its 500th SCORPION supports a historical production record, while the February 2026 export announcement specifically names SCORPION 2 alongside EQUINOX NG.
ANCILE is the RF counter-UAS effector. Allen-Vanguard describes inhibition waveforms directed at commercial-drone command/control protocols, with vehicle-mounted and Quick Deploy arrangements for standalone or integrated use. Detection and identification belong to the wider system when provided. For example, the September 2025 SECURIS launch combined ANCILE with Metis SKYPERION RF detection, Blighter A400 radar and Openworks Vision Flex optical recognition on an EdeyFX trailer. This was a partnered product launch, without a disclosed customer or trial outcome in the reviewed announcement.
The support model treats threat updates as part of the system. Allen-Vanguard’s Threat Management Team describes using reporting and customer feedback to develop user-specific waveforms, laboratory testing and possible open-air confirmation. Its field-service model spans operator checks, technician fault-finding and replaceable-unit repair, software/firmware updates and Canadian/UK depot work down to board level. The appropriate mission fill, installation and support arrangement therefore form part of the supplied configuration.

Use & integration
Recorded applications
- Protection of military convoys and bases
- Counter-drone protection of sensitive sites
- Electronic-warfare support for public safety
These describe the reviewed application scope, not confirmed deployments, released requirements or procurement eligibility.
Evidence of maturity
Historical production and customer-order evidence support an established ECM portfolio. SECURIS is documented at product-launch stage. September 2026 receivership and a proposed sale make current programme continuity material; no completed transaction is established.
Commercial availability
The catalogue offers several installation and support configurations. During receivership and the proposed transaction, customers need confirmed authority for orders and regulated handling, plus programme-specific delivery, spares and update commitments.
