How it works
WindSentinel combines ZX or WINDCUBE LiDAR with ocean/weather sensors and redundant power, telemetry and storage. Renewable energy has diesel backup. The LiDAR sensor temperature rating does not qualify the whole buoy. A named DNV 2020 Buoy 130/WINDCUBE trial supports bounded primary-wind performance and identifies a highest-height availability shortfall; Ørsted separately reported an Ocean Wind development-phase deployment in 2018.
